- Bring some sacks or boxes to slide and roll down grassy hills.
- Float down the stream on tubes which are usually available at the swimming hole
- Visiting the glo-worms at night below Puriri Hut (they don’t like being touched, also please turn torches off and keep voices down)
- See if you can find the highland cows, peking or paradise ducks
- You can ride your own horse on the property and through to our neighbours (when open), make sure you sign in and out at the boundary, and stick to marked trails
- Spotting Native birds, Tui, North island robin, Wood pigeon, bellbird, fantail, Kaka, grey heron, wax eye, grey warbler, king fisher, shining cuckoo, long tailed cuckoo, hawks, paradise ducks, moreporks and others.
- Spotting Tuna (eels) and Koura (freshwater crayfish). you can try shining a light into the creek at night, or tempting them with sausage on a stick
